After watching the awesome sight of the hot-air balloons departing, Kathy and I loaded up the car and made a flying (no pun intended) visit to the Bristol Auto Club cruise. In May 2008, the Bristol cruise was one of the first USA cruises that I attended. Before coming out to the States, from England, on that particular trip to visit Kathy, I had been trading e-mails with Bristol Auto Club member Dave Champagne to gather some information about the cruise (and to warn him that a limey was going to be in attendance!). We met up at the cruise and had a great time. Sadly our schedules have meant that we’ve never had the chance to meet up again in person, until this particular evening. Kathy and I grabbed a few frames in the falling light and had a very sociable hour or so talking with Dave and his wife Gwen. It was an enjoyable end to a good day out.
