CT's Finest Auto Club, First Annual Car Show, August 29th, 2010

Sunday August 29th, saw us at CT's Finest Auto Club First Annual Car Show at the Porter & Chester site in Enfield. On a blisteringly hot day, almost 200 cars and bikes turned out for the event. Many of Connecticut's car clubs had representatives at the show, including Dreamz II Reality (DIIR), Street Terminators, Game Over, High Life Creationz, and Frontline Auto Club. Cruisin' would like to give a big thank you to the guys from DIIR for housing Kathy and me under their complex of gazebos, which offered some welcome shade from the hot August sunshine.

Some fabulous cars and bikes were in attendance, with one of the standouts being Lew Lombardo’s blown Camaro convertible. What a beautiful car it is.

Plenty of awards were up for grabs at the end of the day. DIIR was prominent at awards time. They took the ‘Best Club' trophy, Gary Lambert took 'Best Bike' with his superb Suzuki Hayabusa, John Crowley took 'Best Lexus', Jeff Alexander was awarded 'Best Scion', Pedro took 'Best Nissan' and Jerry took 'Best Chopper'. The club also took a host of second and third places as well. The awards were not the sole property of DIIR as the team from Game Over also featured highly. CT's Finest Auto Club laid on a great event. Let's hope they choose a cooler day for it next year!
