Leather and Sound Photoshoot, October 1st, 2010

Saturday, October 1st saw Cruisin’ Photography at Leather and Sound's premises at 399 Ledyard Street in Hartford for a five-car Digital Auto Art photoshoot. The shoot had been set up for us by one of our clients, Ramon Medina. Ramon was so impressed by the Auto Art that I had produced for him that he spread the word to his friends who wanted to experience Digital Auto Art for themselves.

First in line was Papo Amdino’s beautiful white BMW. The clean lines of the car lend themselves to many different approaches for one-of-a-kind Digital Auto Art so this would be an enjoyable project for sure. As soon as the shots were in the bag, Papo took off to fetch his Honda to have that photographed as well!

Leather and Sound owner John Vazquez then rolled out his awesome Cobra replica. Kathy and I first saw this car at the Regiment car show on August 1st and fell in love with it. The sunshine made the car’s glorious paintwork gleam to the extent that a polarizing filter was needed to help reduce reflections and glare. John then asked if I could take a few shots of his other car as well. “No problem,” was my reply, so John wheeled out another Cobra replica! I set up a two-car shot and took a few shots of John with the cars as well.

While this was going on, Ramon’s wife Maria had just returned from the car wash in her black Honda. We showed her where to park, and when the car was dried off I proceeded to add that one to the list. As soon as Maria’s car was photographed, Papo returned with his black Honda.

When the shots were all in the bag, John gave us a quick look around Leather and Sound. The quality of the Porsche interior that his team was working on was very impressive.

Many thanks to Ramon for setting up the photoshoot - we had a great time!
